About me

From Warsaw to Dubai — a love story I never planned

Hi, I’m Kamil Four years ago, I came to Dubai for a short vacation. I left with a one-way ticket back — and have been calling this city home ever since.

I was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, but something about Dubai’s energy, ambition, and constant reinvention pulled me in immediately. The skyline, the desert, the diversity, the pace — it felt like a city built for people who refuse to settle.

What I do here

I’m the founder of Fanatics wheels car rental — a Dubai-based business specializing in premium car rentals, automotive trading, and parts. Cars are more than work for me — they’re a lifelong passion. I genuinely believe the best way to experience the UAE is from behind the wheel of something fast on an open road.

Through Fanatics Wheels, I’ve spent four years driving every corner of Dubai and beyond — Hatta, Ras Al Khaimah, the empty quarter, the hidden beaches, the off-the-tourist-trail restaurants.

Why this blog exists

Most travel content about Dubai is written by people who spent five days here. I’ve spent four years. I know which restaurants are worth the price tag, which beaches the locals actually go to, which neighborhoods feel like home versus which feel like a movie set.

Best of Dubai is my way of sharing the real, lived version of this city with travelers, expats, and curious minds who want more than a tourist brochure.

Beyond Dubai

When I’m not running my business or exploring this city, I’m fueled by a long list of interests:

  • Travel — there’s nothing like a new airport, a new language, a new neighborhood
  • Food & restaurants — I’ll try anything once, especially if it’s outside my comfort zone
  • Sports & physical development — body and mind, daily, no excuses
  • Nature & the outdoors — desert, mountains, ocean, all of it
  • Science, philosophy, and mathematics — the things that make me feel small in the best possible way
  • Spirituality & astrology — the things that make sense of the things science doesn’t
